My practice is heavily routed in ceramic history, technique, and tradition, and how it relates to contemporary global narratives.
Through my experience as a ceramicist (studying its history and traveling the world), I have become very interested in the material’s inherent anthropological qualities, and its global history.
I have been trained as a technical maker, with skills deeply routed in abstract expressionism, studio pottery, and the European porcelain industry, and use these abilities and interests to create works, which stand as contemporary anthropological relics, conveying narratives of our status quo and its provenance.
